 To have the best retractable screen system you must have the best fabric from a world renowned company like 3G Mermet. All of our screen systems use Vinyl coated Fiberglass from 3G Mermet. Fiberglass has multiple benefits: high heat resistance, dimensional stability, high flame resistance and pound for pound fiberglass is stronger than steel. The fabric will not rust or rot and the 5-year warranty covers fabric fading. The vinyl coating over the fiberglass helps draw in the heat through absorption, keeping it off your glass. The results are a screen that can handle many years of strong service.

For heavy-duty strength and added beauty, Tucson SunFix® screen housing and guide rails are made from powder coated aluminum in a variety of colors.

 How Do They Work So Well?
 Tucson SunFix® screens are available in a variety of colors.  However, for the best solar protection and the best view we use dark colored fabrics.  Color is a very important aspect of your screen.
  • We use dark colored screens to absorb up to 90% of the radiant heat before it gets inside your home. Additionally, our screens will block up to 96% of the ultraviolet (UV) radiation that can damage your interior.
  • The heat energy absorbed by the screen rises through convection updraft and escapes through the top and sides. Air flow is crucial to heat dissipation.
  • Dark colored screens also give the best visibility because the light passes through the screen mesh where the glare is absorbed leaving an unobstructed, beautiful view. The dark screen gives such an excellent view that the eye tends to see past the fabric causing it to virtually disappear.
  • Light colored fabrics have more reflection on the light coming through the screen, causing the overall visual effect to be less clear. Absorption is imperative.
